African Teak
Afzelia spp.
Golden, durable and highly workable — a premium choice for joinery and exterior projects.
About the species: African Teak
African Teak (Afzelia) is prized for its warm golden-to-reddish heartwood, interlocked grain and natural durability. It machines well and finishes to a rich, even surface, making it suitable for both structural joinery and high-value interior work.
Availability is confirmed per shipment. We grade for defects, grain orientation and dimension tolerance before export, and can provide mixed-width packs or fixed-width production lots.
Typical applications

Working and finishing
Interlocked grain can make machining demanding; sharp tooling and controlled feed rates deliver the best finish. Kiln-dried stock is recommended for interior joinery.
